Classic Margherita
Classic Margherita Pizza
A simple, yet flavourful pizza that allows the ingredients to shine.
Ingredients:
- Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce (simple marinara works great)
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- Olive oil
- Salt
Instructions:
- Preheat the pizza oven to around 800°F (425°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface.
- Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the dough.
- Scatter mozzarella slices on top of the sauce.
- Transfer the pizza to the pizza oven using a pizza peel.
- Bake for 90 seconds to 2 minutes, until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven, add fresh basil leaves, and drizzle with olive oil.
