Classic Margherita

Classic Margherita Pizza

A simple, yet flavourful pizza that allows the ingredients to shine.

Ingredients:

  • Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce (simple marinara works great)
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Olive oil
  • Salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the pizza oven to around 800°F (425°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface.
  3. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the dough.
  4. Scatter mozzarella slices on top of the sauce.
  5. Transfer the pizza to the pizza oven using a pizza peel.
  6. Bake for 90 seconds to 2 minutes, until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  7. Remove from the oven, add fresh basil leaves, and drizzle with olive oil.
